Autumn Impressions

An autumn day at Neuhaus on the Pegnitz in the Franconian Switzerland . It is one of the few sunny days in the early autumn . We were not there just spoiled.

Not even in Bavaria , the "promised land" under the white-blue sky and Chapter diamonds.

How different since the September 2006 in the Provence had been. The photo was taken down at Menerbes in Luberon 22 September.

We drove away in cold and rain in Germany. The farther we came to the south , the more the temperature climbed to the top.

at 30 degrees Celsius, one was happy to sit in Uzes in the old town in the shadow of trees.

And even the pool at our hotel in Beaucaire could have been good and like to use. But considering the cold in Germany, we had taken no bathing suits.

A wild plant, a Neophyte finds its way back into the cottage garden

The Canadian goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) is a neophyte (ie, a new immigrant) in our local nature. Originally introduced as an ornamental plant in North America, it has reintroduced itself. We have a way out of "wild" found in our back garden and grows magnificently since then. The plant reproduces itself and through its underground runners.

The Herbstanemone was already in my grandma's flower beds. The rugged beauty adorns every cottage garden. The shrub blooms in September. A fall bloomer that is, where it has its name.

for the next year we are planning a photo trip to the Normandy . In the capital of Normandy, Rouen, and in the closer surroundings, such as Calvados, where they come from the famous apple brandy and the original Camembert.
